Hi! I’m Max Baker.
This is a game I made with the Penarth Makerspace in the Penarth Library for the GWR Youngest Videogame Developer (male). I would like to point out I did this before vibe coding and advanced code generation with AI was a thing, and did it myself.
This game is free to play and download, but donations are gratefully received :) 10% of any donation goes towards supporting itch.io. Thanks!
The browser player is an updated version, but if you want to play the (slightly buggier) original, there is a download for that as well as the updated download. The itch.io app is recommended for downloads, as it handles the extracting for you.
Thanks to Pixabay for providing the music!
TIPS
Don't jump unless you need to - it slows you down.
Level 2 isn't that bad if you jump onto the right side of the platform, then on top of the weights to make your grand escape!
Level 3 is hard, but just relax (hint hint)!
Level 4 has a "doppelganger" – a ball that copies your moves. However, it jumps when you jump, like you do, but both of you can only jump if you are on a platform. Use that mechanic to your advantage to slow the doppelganger down!
Level 5 is really hard, but "Scope it out" on the first couple of attempts to find the portal, and devise a strategy to reach it.
MEDIA
I have been in a couple of news articles for this game:
- I have been on Radio Wales Drive on BBC Sounds, when I attemped it.
- I have been on BBC Radio after I achieved the record
- I have been on BBC Newsround

I’m inspired by your work, me and Harry want to create some games someday
That's amazing! That's so lovely and I wish you and Harry the best of luck in your game-making.

I'm a 3rd year university student studying Games Programming. I just saw your WR and it's incredible!
All of my work is Here (my website) (best viewed on desktop) if you ever want to take a look at what uni level game dev looks like.
If you have any questions or anything about the programming side of game dev or the "education" side I'll happily answer in the replies/comments :D
Congrats!
